“I was the first honorary clinical fellow, although Ultramed does have a history of bringing clinicians with wider interests into the company to benefit from their insights. It was a testament to Paul, Alan and the rest of the team that they were happy to invest the time and effort into my development through setting up this fellowship.

It was very flexible and I was able to make it work with my rota and interest in remote care. The major benefit of being a totally remote company allows communications around meetings and work to be more fluid. There was a consistent understanding for clinical commitments and that remains the case.

The company itself balances an exiting blend of clinical pathway development, technical evolution and healthcare service communication. As clinicians you are very much encouraged to get involved where your skills suit best and develop new ones. Through this engaging means of working, you gain the translational skills that opens new opportunities both inside and outside of healthcare.

The most important aspect following my time with Ultramed is the team and their wish to develop people. This attitude permeates the company at each level of working. The Team is approachable, engaged and working hard to ensure a quality product is shipped from an enjoyable work environment. I've felt welcome and encouraged from day one and I'm proud to have been involved with and now working for Ultramed.”
